As a modest, professional photojournalist of 30 years, I strive for each image I create to be better than the last and tell a story.
Inspired by great photographers like Mary Ellen Mark and Eugene Richards, I strive to capture a moment, tell a story and bring the audience into a frozen scene that will be a timeless documentation of the world in which we live.
I started in photography many years before I became a professional and making it a career has been a rewarding experience, where I can live day to day, improving my photography, which is my passion.
I am based in Alaska and have traveled the world which has given me the opportunity to see many beautiful, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments.
Over the years I have learned many things and continue to learn and better who I am and what my photography portrays to the world.
Currently I work as the Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator for Hilltop Ski and Bike Park in Anchorage, Alaska, a small nonprofit ski area and bike park. I also maintain a robust freelance shooting calendar throughout the year.
My work has appeared in the NY Times, Newsweek, Anthropology Today, Time, USA Today, Maxim, SF Chronicle, Anchorage Daily News, New Frontier Chronicle, Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, L.A. Times, The Associated Press, G-Star Raw Jeans, Atlantis Snowboards, Christian Science Monitor, Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, Alaska USA Credit Union, Private Eye Weekly, Salt Lake City Magazine, Alaska Magazine, Glasgow Gallery of Photography, Consulate General of France in San Francisco, The Guardian, The Counter, Alaska Public Media, Sea Otter Classic, Bicycle Retailer and Industry News, Vital MTB, Pinkbike, Road Bike Action, Monterey Herald, East Bay Times, SoCal Cycling, GearJunkie, Vail Daily, MNT Bike Magazine, Socalcycling.com and Flatline Records.
